Back to Black

Today we read an article titled back to black and it is all about failure. A Rugby player Akira Loane who was destined to the top but had to make hard changes in his life to get to his goal and dreams. In all about perseverance and never giving up no matter how many times you may fail.

As the format rugby player commented on the subject " It was pretty shit" He said that his life back then was the kickstarted hid fightback.

In my opinion, is that all people are scared of failure and failure can also be a mistake you need to learn from. You shouldn't be scared because when you do fail you will learn from it and gain newfound knowledge that will help you strive.

Adreanleine forest (EOTC) Trrip Week

Last week I spend my time on a trip that included Spencer park and the Adrenaline forest. There were other trips that sadly I could not go to but the trip in which I did attend was really fun. We had to be at school at 8:00 so my family was in a rush to feed the kids and get to our trip it was going to be a hot day so I wore summer clothes. When I got into class I handed my teacher the permission slip and students scattered to different busses because we had four Kahui in year seven to nine and we all had a different trip on the same day. I remember a bendy bus and a normal modern-day bus but the bus we jumped on was old looking. 

Once everyone was sitting down the bus started moving. I was sat next to Miss. Taylor my homeroom teacher, Jaz one of my classroom friends, and Mr. Mitchell. The bus ride to spencer park was nice we talked joked around most of the time. It was really nice seeing our teachers joke around with us. I noticed a lot of farm animals and trees obviously.

Loved the most

When we finally arrived the bus before we were already getting ready for Adrenaline forest so our group headed down to spencer park I guess it was a first in first served kind of thing. The first thing I did once we entered the park was dropping my bag in the eating area and then ran towards the playground with one of my friends. The first activity I played on was the flying fox. as I zipped on the flying fox all the trees and places around me turned into one green and colorful blur. Next, I ran to the green slide and slid down multiple times in the time-space of a minute I had gone down that slide three times.

The other activity that was at Spencer park that I participated in was...

• Climbing equipment
• Swings 
• Spider web

When I was On the swings with my longest friend we were playing on the swings and as I was swinging I swang to high and I tried jumping off the swing but chickened out so my back hit the seat on the swing and bent me and my friend laugh so hard we turned red. After that, I took a break to drink some of my juice and eat my apple, pringles, and muffin some of the kids forgot their food so I shared mine.

Once done eating I took a nap on the Spider web and went back to the flying fox and slide. After waiting my turn I allowed some younger kind in front of me I felt anxious because I was scared they may hurt themselves. There was this little boy who tried to jump onto the flying fox and started to dangle up as the flying fox started to sip down the hill so I had to grab him and help him back on that felt good. I ended up going to the seat to relax before heading to the slide and I "did not" handed some kids some lollipop almost kind of getting caught.

  

When we finally had the chance to get to the Adrenaline forest I washed my hands and got given some safety advice to make sure we could stay safe. when we got our equipment we got one more talk and we got told to yell out to one of the staff for help I forgot all but one of their names. The name I remembered was Tenton but I will give the rest of the staff random names like Bob and Ross. I started on the trail 3-B.

What Frightened me

I had all confidence and whizzed through most of the task but I started to get scared when one of the obstacles where wobbly. The moment that scared me the most was when I had to unhook my safety hook in the middle of an obstacle and hock it back up then I got stuck but luckily I have harnessed it up again and when I fell I didn't die.

Learned that

As  I was doing these obstacles a friend of mine got stuck and she needed some help so I called for random names because I forgot the helper's names. I had to try my best to remember their names because she and I wanted to carry on. I remembered the staff telling us that we probably won't remember one of their worker's names but will remember their names so I tried my best to remember his name and then it clicked. I yelled out Tenton and then the staff came along and helped.

What Challenged me 

After some time Mr. Mitchell told us we were late and had to get everyone off the bus. So we all had to rush our obstacles I had to go on a zip line and wrecking ball then take off my harness and gloves. I grabbed my bag and waited in the grass area there I met a dog named Wally who was scabbing some kid's lunch. Wally was super Cute and very muddy. When everyone was together again we did a role said thank you to all the helpers and ran off to the bus.

Would like to see next time

If we got to do any other activity for EOTC week I would like to do some trips like go-carting because it is thrilling and fun. Or maybe going outside more somewhere outside. As long as we get to do something adventurous on a hot day I will be up for it. 

I enjoyed my trip because we earned it and it was at a very exploratory place where we could have fun eat talk and climb. I am thankful to the teachers and students. I am thankful the students earned the money to pay for the trips. I am thankful for the teachers who organized the trips because we had a really tough year. But most of all I am thankful to my parents who allowed me to attend that day.

Art work 2020

 We have recently been focusing on photography for this art semester. More recently I have been working on photoshop and been touting with some of the tools. Ms has given us some artiest to get inspiration off but I have gotten inspiration from another artist and myself.

The first two photos are of my mini modeled figures, Before photo is inspired by an artist named Slinkachu with a creepy twist added to it. The first photo named After is the exact same photo but huge;y modified.

The second round of photos are of my family and are more like a collage than anything else  I guess in this they inspired me. The second photo named After is also modified and inspired by the movie Coroline it gives us an unsettling feeling which is pretty cool.

Desolving sugar

Today in class we lent about dissolving and resolving sugar and seeing if there is a time difference if you use different types of methods to dissolve it. We needed a beaker, spatula warm/cold water, and a timer. (just letting you know you use a spatula from a science lab)

We did five activities resolving in different methods of dissolving our sugar with different instructions in each method. We had to time our findings in each different method we used. After doing that we had to write down our findings on the board.

Activity one we added cold water into our beaker and filled it up about 50ML on the first line because the second 50ML is how much air in that area. After that, we added sugar to our spatula and then we had to press the time button once we added the sugar into the beaker and stirred it well waiting for it to dissolve.

The average score for the whole classroom was 54 seconds. I think it took this long to dissolve because of the mixing speed up the process.

Next up was actively two this time we added 50ML of hot water in the beaker on the first line then we scooped out the same amount of sugar from our cup and then added it into the beaker. Like last time we made sure to hit the timer when the sugar was in the water then stopped it when our sugar was fully resolved. For activity two we had to make sure to stir out beaker. 

The average score for activity two was 29 seconds. I noticed that this took faster than activity one I think this is because when particles are in hot places they shrink and move faster in the hot places and by mixing our mixture it made the process faster so I think this result was an average score.

In activity three we added 50ML of hot water into our beaker and added then scooped the same amount of sugar into our spatula. Then we added the sugar into the water the press the timer when the sugar was submerged into the water and hit the timer. This time we DID NOT use the spatula to mix our sugar.

Our score for method three was 76 seconds I think this is a reasonable score because this time we did not stir our mixture therefore the sugar just sank to the bottom causing it to dissolve slower. But since we had hot water it still moved around faster.

For our last acctivety, acctivety four we added 50ML

Reflection

Today I did a couple of activities for school today nothing too big just like a drawing of a self-portrait and a sports game. The teachers decided to act completely abnormal this time and I guess that is the most normal they can be because being normal is not really normal just like being perfect is the most unperfect you can be. Anyways's back to the topic at hand The teachers decided to exchange their roles and become an actress in the fine arts of drama and theater by being the olden days stereotypical type of teacher and the second teacher taking the role of a Sargent in an army camp. Ms. Taylor in the first activity told us the rules and instructing them by becoming more forceful as went the game went along by telling us to drop and give her a push-up like I said she was like a Sargent in the army. I also notice that in the middle of the game she kind od dosed off and that was completely apart of the act to see how we children will act I guess my group after became very chaotic and confused which is probably a normal reaction if our teacher lacked the part of being a good teacher. I was a bit confused but I had a good team so I was a bit calm. 

In the second activity, we needed to do a self-portrait with no intrucsions of what kind of artistic style we had to do we also had I time limit that made me and some of the other student pretty upset. Like I said Ms was very much like an olden day style type of teacher she made a bunch of threats telling the students that if our work looked terrible to her taste then we had to stay in for detention. Also, I forgot to mention she also made the students get in a line from tallest to the shortest and shortest to tallest like ms Taylor out Ms also went out of the room a bunch of times that played on my nerves a little bit emphasis on the little but I was pretty calm and got my work done faster and then I started to just doodle a bit so I guess I can be alright under pressure but not completely.

POV: My Melodrama charcter/Hellen the Voodoo hodoo queen.

 My name is Hellen the voodoo hoodoo queen but my real name is barbarera and I am from britan, I am aged 21 a Witch of the year of 1798. I do not come from a wealthy family, but instead, I come from a poor family with little no money. I have sister who I haven't seen in years and a drunken farther. My farther wanted me to get married into a wealthy family, But I do not want that kind of life where I am sold like a herd of a sheep. My refusal cased my farther to disown me and banish me from britten. That was Five years ago. After being banished I found out I have the ability's no other human possieses, I am a witch and now is living in the city of New Orleans. I have found a new source of magic called dark magic and voodoo. The witches of New Orleans call me Hellen the voodoo hoodoo queen.
