Science
Aim: To make a wind racer that moves.
Method:
Cut a plastic bag into a big triangle. (Taping one side so only one edge is open).
Tape the large triangles end onto the bottom of the stick.
use popsicle sticks to make a small stand.
tape that on the other side of your trolly.
use string (Adding some slack) and tie the open side of the bag to the stand.
Make sure everything is stable and go win!
Discussion
When your using wind racers there are four forces that help contribute for them to work. This four fourses are Thrust, Friction, Gravity, and Lift. These forces help us do anything including moving. Gravity helped out wind racer because without it our wind racers float. Lift made sure our boat didn't go underground, thrust helped our wind racer to move and slide, Well Friction stopped the moving.
Conclusion
In conclusion, our wind racer moved only an inch before falling over. I think this happened because the sail wasn't wide enough if it were winder it could have caused more Thrust and Thrust could of made it go farther.
