Live aid was a time in history that caused change for the starving Ethiopian children and family. Live aid was inspired when singer Bob Geldof from the boomstar rats learnt the harsh conditions the Ethiopians where living in. Bob Geldof didn't find it fare that his country was storing away food and living in good conditions well in Ethiopia hundred and thousands where dyeing. So Bob Geldof decided to make a change and he got a group of talented well known singers and made a song to spread awareness. Eventually this caught more artist attention and they to wanted to make a change and that is how the live aid concerts came to be.
One of the main performance that caught people's attentions was a performance Heroes sang and written by David Bowie. I think out of all the performances David Bowie selected the best song. David Bowie dedicated the song to his son and to all our children and to all the children in the world. The song is about life and birth many described it as if we were part of changing the entire damn world at that moment. I guess that statement was true since watching and attending the performance was making change.
