Art work 2020

 We have recently been focusing on photography for this art semester. More recently I have been working on photoshop and been touting with some of the tools. Ms has given us some artiest to get inspiration off but I have gotten inspiration from another artist and myself.

The first two photos are of my mini modeled figures, Before photo is inspired by an artist named Slinkachu with a creepy twist added to it. The first photo named After is the exact same photo but huge;y modified.

The second round of photos are of my family and are more like a collage than anything else  I guess in this they inspired me. The second photo named After is also modified and inspired by the movie Coroline it gives us an unsettling feeling which is pretty cool.

We have been learning about Hannah Hotch a famous girl who became famous for her work. She youse her art skills to make a photo montage using scissors she cut out pictures and put them together. Hannah Hotch was very ahead of her time. When you would see her work there could be a picture of a man wearing a dress or something usual that would be different in her time.

We got sent a task to have a montage inspired by Hannah hotch. First I made a montage of different cartoon characters to have a play with, I noticed that it looked fun a unique but other ideas came to my head so I abandoned that montage.

Draft one

Next, I wanted to make something more meaningful, I decided to use a baby for my second montage. I decided to play around with the color of my pictures and changed my baby's eyes to other infants' eyes that were black and white. After starring at my work I started to wonder what it meant to me I could come up with nothing, I only thought it looked cool.

After draft two I decided to do a picture of my family. I collected photos of my siblings and cousins when they were younger, a picture of my mum, dad, and dog. I made my cousins and sibling small because it represented when I was younger and how it was easier. In my photo, I also added each house I have ever lived into ad some history to my photo. Even though this was my completed photo montage it still felt unfinished that being the reasoning It took me so long to be complete. I still feel it is uncomplete I wish I was able to add different color contrast to my picture but I couldn't and I wish I found the thing it needed to be completed in my head but it still means something to me so that is the reason it is done.

Fight In The Park!!!

What is visualization? To me, visualization means picturing something or someone in your head to help you understand more about them or it and getting a picture in your head to know what someone or something looks like.

This week had given another task similar to the teacher blog post we did about a week ago but this time our task was bigger and better. Our teacher told us a story about a kid getting in a fight between him and another student from a different school and then we had had to draw a picture of what we would think the fight would have looked like also we had to write what we would see hear and smell.


In my writing, I wrote I would hear yelling kids debating which school would win and I also hear the sound of at least two fists slamming against something. I would smell the muddy grass and the winter air that gives me a cold. I would see a park with kids surrounding two boys from a different school the kids have their phones out recording the boys from the different school who seem to be fighting I could see the grey dark clouds and lighting.

this week we have been learning about art and making a story bored about  our story bored is about 3 light bobs out topic was hurumanu  the people in my group is... Hannah Roxy Makinzie Liyah and me when we where finish our work we had to give our work to someone  to give us a Positive thoughtful and helpful comment but for my opinion  I felt very sad on the comment they gave us so they kindly made it more happier.

Broken

A simple word can hurt you. A simple word can scare you. A simple word can bruise you.  When I look at this picture this is what I think . 

This girl goes to school everyday being called names and mean words. Bullied by people who are  meant to be  her friends.  She hears  people  talking behind her back and yet she smiles. 

When People look at this painting their see a girl with a black eye and some torn up clothes. But  When I look at her I see a girl hurting on the inside. Each mean word numbs her hart each mean name bruises  her soul and this affects the way she sees the world


Day after day   she struggles to get out of bed scared and frightened to be called names . The only good that's left in her  is a simple smile. This smile  represent her mum and who cares about her  and will do anything to make her smile.  A mum who will ask the school for help from the school. This is why the girl smiles because she knows she is not alone and there are people who care for her and will love her no matter what.

Today I have finished my  colander art.  I am supper proud of it first I made my squares. Next I
made my buildings and clouds. Now it was time to paint I painted my sky. First next I painted my buildings in a different color or sades in each building. I hope you enjoy this bye 😃

My dark weather art

This term we have been learning  about weather. In art I created a stormy night picture. First I made the background. I used  black, blue, dark blue, and light blue dye. Next I had to do the buildings and  we used black paper to make a dark shadow. Second  I made  buildings and one house out of the paper. Then we cut it out. I felt proud! The next I stuck my buildings on to the paper.  Now  it was time to do the clouds and lightning. I did the clouds first. We had to dab the brush to make a storm effect. Then I did the lightning using zig sags because  lightning is not straight. We did the lightning in white paint. I really enjoyed my art because of the effect. By Tennessee

Rainy Day Art

WALT use crayon and dye to show movement and ripples in a weather feature. 

First I used a white crayon to draw the rain. Next I drew the rainbow. To make it pop out I colored around the outside white.
After that I dyed the clouds blue and black. Before you dye it you have to make sure you colored it in hard with no white bits. To make this you only need a white crayons and dye and maybe add a rainbow.

 Walt: use paint to create  the effect of  feathers.
First I drew the pictures of the penguin.  Second I had to do the black paint the black paint was the feathers , next I did the orange for the beck and more feathers. After I done  the yellow for the beck and feathers.Then I put gray  around his arms and head.  And lastly I did the green  eye. I done this because we have been learning about Antarctica.

My Calendar Art

This is my calendar art. This is how I made it:

First Mrs McG took a photo of me on a stool holding a paint brush in the air. Then we printed it

out in black and white. Then I planned what I was going to paint on my photo. I thought I was going to paint the sky in different colours, but it was a bit too much colour, so I decided I would do a winter theme. I was perfect and it came out amazing.
